It would be helpful if you can book your shooting with us as we can get very busy at certain times of the year and all our rounds are guided by a member of staff.

 

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept cash and BACS transfers.  We are unable to accept cheques, credit or debit cards.

EX34 8NZ will get you to the turning for our shooting ground at Mullacott Veterinary Hospital.  

 

Is food and drink available?

We sell cold drinks such as water and cans of pop.  Food can be ordered by prior arrangement for larger parties.  

 

The weather report isn’t looking good. Are you still shooting?

Yes, we shoot in all weathers unless there is lightening.

Can I buy cartridges and what type of cartridges may I shoot??

Yes, we are able to supply you with 12 and 20 gauge shotgun cartridges, but please do mention this when you are making your booking. 

We only shoot fibre wad and clay loads only so maximum 28g and 7 shot size

 

I am a beginner, it’s my first time will I feel out of place?

We pride ourselves on being a very warm and friendly shooting ground, you will looked after during your visit.

 

My kids would like to have a go,  how old do they have to be?

The  minimum age is approximately 11, the child must be able to hold the gun under their own steam.

Children MUST wear hearing and eye protection at all times we are able to provide safety glasses and hearing protection compliments of NDSG.

 

Where do I park?

EX34 8NZ will get you to the turning for our shooting ground at Mullacott Veterinary Hospital.  Continue past the hospital along the track for approx. 150 yards to the car park on the right hand side.  

Once parked please follow the signs and follow the footpath  to the entrance down to the five bar gate

Additional parking for 4x4's is available by following the signs and driving down the slope, through the gateway and parking alongside the fence on the grass verge.

 

What should I wear?

Sensible clothing according to the weather, wellingtons or boots are necessary if it has been raining.

 

I wear Glasses, will this handicap me?

Wearing glasses is not normally a problem.
